POUG on avios ticket?

I know its pretty unlikely but does it ever happen where upgrades are offered through MMB on award straight forward avios tickets? Has anyone see this happen?

I seem to remember the odd report on here when this has bee asked about ave never seen it myself. I don’t think it’s impossible but I do think you have to assume it won’t be offered tbh.

ah ok. Are you seeing them regularly? I have never seen them, I hope it’s not personal

I get them on about 30% of pure Redemption bookings, via both the App and desktop. In my case these would be for First (and occaionally CE). However I have never ever paid for First or used Avios for First, so I think the system is still trying to entice me to make these bookings, not realising that in another part of the woods DUT is nervously trying to squeeze everyone on board.

Interesting, do they tend to be close to departure or is it quite random?

Any stage after approximately 72 hours after booking, however I rarely book a long time in advance - 1 or 2 weeks would be typical for me.

I've had my fair share of POUG offers on RFS' over the years but as others have said, no TPs nor Avios so not really worth it for me.....

Could a POUG to First still appear on a WTP that has been UUA to CW?

Has anybody actually tried it to confirm “no TP no Avios” theory?
I know that this should be the case, but I wonder if anyone can confirm for 100%?

Yes. You get zero avios and TPs, many have confirmed this - me included.
