But like much of BA marketing comms, this one will turn out to be exaggerated and under-delivered in practice

Interesting, she has been there for a while and didn't have much promo prospects I guess? is that interesting lady Carolina Martinoli going to take over?

She'd been in the current role for a little less than 3 years, FTers may know her from the 'Investing4U' jolly junket where invitees didn't ask any questions about the capex investment period or lack of main courses.

Thats a shame if it is true. I met her a couple of years ago at LGW when she was just "Head of Customer" and she seemed very interested in what customers actually thought unlike anyone else at BA with the word customer in their job title. I think she was extremely frustrated by not being able to actually deliver anything that was a real improvement due to everything having to have costs cut.

Carolina Martinoli is/was above Abi in the BA tree, not sure if she is/was her actual boss?

Carolina Martinoli is/was above Abi in the BA tree, not sure if she is/was her actual boss?
For some reason I thought it were the other way around. I should step aside as my knowledge of BA employee reporting lines is clearly murky at best

I met Abi at a couple of GGL events and she was very much aware of current issues and the competitive marketplace in which BA was working. As Airprox said above, I suspect she was frustrated about the trajectory she could see ahead of her - but hid it very well. It's rarely a good sign when customer-focused people leave, unless she is leaving for better things!

She has gone and did report to Carolina (or would have if she had stayed around). I guess we draw our conclusions.
