Would have been in her 16th year with the company.
I'd assume she's jumped because she's hit a glass ceiling.

I met Abi at a couple of GGL events and she was very much aware of current issues and the competitive marketplace in which BA was working. As Airprox said above, I suspect she was frustrated about the trajectory she could see ahead of her - but hid it very well. It's rarely a good sign when customer-focused people leave, unless she is leaving for better things!

But then again, haven’t we all had that sickly feeling - at one time or another .........??
You know ..... you get home from a trip to the shops ...... you look at your credit card slips ..... you open all the fancy designer bags ...... and then you say to yourself ..... “Is this really all I’ve got to show for all that money ........??

I don't think we're at the nadir yet. Whilst NPS has changed, the financials haven't yet. I've (mostly) jumped ship now I'm LTG, but still have the odd flight and here there plus an Avios balance to run down.
Willie and Alex won't be changing strategy, just chucking a few extra Avios to us here and there to placate people.
I'm still surprised that Star Alliance now they have a single terminal at Heathrow haven't started to make a concerted play at the UK market. I guess Lufthansa got so badly burnt from BMI, they're reticent to go back in any significant way.
