How close is IAG to galley commonality on A320 family aircraft?

Does anybody have any insights into how close (or not) IAG is to galley commonality on A320 family aircraft, both within and across their brands. Thank you to anyone who is able to help!

It has been IAG's stated ambition for some time now, but as someone who uses A320 on all 4 fleets affected, just right now there are massive variations in terms of bulkheads, recline, equipment placing, wardrobe arrangement, you name it. The galleys are very different too. There are quite a lot of differences between A320s within BA, for that matter (e.g. the GAT fleet versus ex BMI).

As CWS said, they cant get Galley commonality within BA so I think commonality with the group is a long way off. G-MIDx and G-GATx spring to mind; and a couple of the G-MEDx are different too. With densification if the CEOs this is only going to get worse in the short term

Encountered a new one ex-LGW this week - a wardrobe that... wasnt . It was shelves/multiple cupboards. Row 1A/C/D/F a-la-LHR but a notawardrobe. And battered old seats. Guessing ex-BMI?
Turns out it was G-DBCH - its had nearly 6 weeks in various maintenance since September. Not sure what they were doing to it as none of the visible parts seemed younger than about 10 years!!

Correct.

On a BA flight a few weeks ago there was someone in the crew who was Vueling cabin crew (not sure of the background - work experience? temporary loan? transferring over? won a raffle? who knows) and he had to be guided every step of the way as to where everything in the galley was.
Mordac and Oncewild like this.
