Warning - Fierce BA staff member alert

A slightly tongue in cheek post but a warning to all.

I have just come through First Check-in with my partner.

The BA app on my phone seems to be playing up and not letting me check-in.

After some faffing around it worked so all was good.

Going through the BA passenger check I presented my Boarding Pass on my phone only to be told that I had my partner's boarding pass displayed (same booking).

I of course apologised straight away and saw that there was two tabs on the boarding pass with my partner being the first tab.

I was then berated and made to feel like a naughty school boy being told off.

If that was not enough I was then admonished that I should check I had got it right at the gate and to make sure I did not make the same mistake again.

I appreciate it was my fault but there are ways of getting the message across without humiliating me in the process.

Anyway I have crept off to the sanctuary of Concorde Club room to lick my wounds.

Public health warning over 😂

My dog was not allowed through as he showed his kennel pass rather than the BA boarding pass lol

They should give us a black spot to tip, as well as a golden ticket. That would be a definite candidate for the black spot if anyone tried that on me. Unless it was done in fun of course.

So, a very simple mistake of having the wrong tab up on your mobile phone generated that much "discussion" from the agent? Definitely seems a bit much as described. I will say that sometimes people are "trying" to be helpful but come off as preachy so I will just go on typically but I wasnt there so cant speak to the veracity of the tone. From your description it does sound like it was more than warranted.

It's a particularly vile story - she shouldn't be allowed to keep animals after that, and you're right it devalues cases where animals provide genuine emotional support (i.e. not the peacock or this story!)

The solution lies in paper boarding passes and a photo of your support animal.

Years ago, the SLF services supervisor in HKG was a very serious dragon! She either liked, or actively disliked her frequent slf.
Once I found that I was disliked, I avoided her.
The man at Sin, however, was a very nice person. Putting up with lots of entitled Brits would give many folk stress. Not him.

The solution lies in the glass of Bordeaux currently sitting in front of me at the CCR bar. And some breathing exercises works like a charm when things have just fallen apart for you on the day, as they have for me today.

The OP should thank their lucky stars they weren’t asking to guest an extra person into the lounge earlier.
