Expiration of GUF2

What is the experience of requesting an extension of the expiration of a GUF2 voucher if you are BA Gold. I have read threads that GGL members may this privilege reasonable easily.

I've only done it once but I'm 1 for 1 successful so far.

Mine had confirmation and date change literally as soon as I had hung up. Super efficient on the last occasion

They'll extend it once, by six months, if you ask. I've not heard of anyone getting it extended any further than that.

Six month extension should not be an issue.

For the record, I've had GUFs in my account extended a few weeks after they've expired and even after I've used them, they've gone out of date and I've cancelled a flight. As long as it's within six months of expiry, you should be fine.

I have had a similar experience.

Just phoned the gold line to try and extend a GUF2 but got denied. The voucher expires in three weeks but they said it too early too get it extended?

Is this a policy change or is three weeks genuinely too early?

Thanks

It does sound like a change to me, but I could be wrong.

When did they suggest you contact them to request the six months extension?

They just said nearer the time but I thought three weeks was quite close. Could be wrong though.

I've had one extended by 6 months. Wait until about 2 weeks before the expiration, call the Gold line and ask nicely. Received an email the following day detailing the new expiry date.

Appreciate if you could update if you have any luck in extending your GUF2. I have one expiring in July but would prefer to extend it until December.
