British Airways Flyertalk Dos

Here is the master thread for this year which will hold details of each individual Do. Bristol and Phoenix are ones that are already being organised however that will no doubt grow as some have turned into an annual gathering such as London, Jersey and the BA Simulator Do organised by KARFA.

Please see the Wiki for details of each Do and there is a link for previous Do's going back a few years should anyone be interested to read all about them.

Everyone is very welcome, new members, lurkers, +1's etc to attend these events and so yes you can bring someone along. The important thing is to make sure the host is kept updated so final numbers can be confirmed. Having been to many of these gatherings they are great social events in this little community of ours. If you are planning one then may I suggest to also post on the Community Buzz forum as they are open to all members of Flyertalk.

So far this year there are 2 planned Do's as below. If you are planning to arrange a Do then please start a separate thread and post a link into the Wiki above. Links to previous master threads can be found in the wiki above.

Confirmed 2018 Do's
Bristol - 26th February - Organised by BotB
Phoenix - 25th August - Organised by dylanks and teledude

Thank you

Pete

Cheers

...The Croydon airport looks interesting on that Channel 5 program, much more than Croydon itself.

Croydon is actually fine if you stay in the busy bit, even late at night.

We go out there from time to time and have never seen any trouble.

Just don't go wandering north of West Croydon station

Are you sure? I worked in Croydon until Jan this year and the area around West Croydon station was not pleasant after 1800. I'm sure there are nice areas but bear in mind that members of my team that lived in Croydon always chose alternative locations for evening food and drink.

I am considering organizing a Do in Manchester in July.

Do you think there would be much interest?

It would probably be the 2nd weekend in July but dates are flexible?

As long as you organize the DO, we might absolve you for abscense from the event. The London DO last december was organized by @KARFA who, IIRC, was in Brazil at the time for the DO

Does that mean we don’t expect him to actually arrive in PHX?
