Can we use Cathay lounge & invite 1 guest each at SFO?

Was wondering if it is possible to use the Cathay First Class lounge at SFO airport, if we are flying BA First in February 2018? If yes is it also possible we can still invite 1 guest each like at the BA lounge?

I remember from our last visit that the BA First lounge is pretty average. Thanks in advance for any feedback

The ability to guest whilst travelling in F is a oneworld rule, so you can choose to do so at any oneworld F or J lounge. The guest must be travelling with oneworld (marketed & operated) as well.

Nothing stopping you doing this at any of the oneworld lounges in that side of the International Terminal - so you could do BA, CX or JL.

The international terminal at SFO is split into two concourses, A and G, each with its own set of security channels. BA operates out of concourse A and NZ out of G. Unfortunately there isn't a sterile path between the two, so you and your friends may have to part ways before you go through security.

Yes, it does, and to expand just a little - the same guesting restriction would apply in the BA lounge, even if you’re travelling BA F. There’s no prospect of guesting someone on a Star Alliance flight anywhere.

The restriction Prospero mentions just seals the deal. You could, technically, sit in either A or G side with your friends and then re-clear security (the TSA does allow any BP to go to any terminal), but that’s almost certainly not worth the aggravation, particularly as Concourse A - even in Fast Track - can take a while.
