Probably not.. You don't have to go through immigration when connecting at LHR and remaining airside, but you still need to do security so that complicates things.

When I deplaned I was met by a chap who took me down the stairs to a waiting car and drove me to T5C. He then escorted me into the terminal and took me to boarding for my Johannesburg flight. It was a really great service and ensured that I didn't have to rush between flights. Top marks to BA!
But I'm already "safe" on my first flight. The "dirty" way of getting from one flight to another normally creates the need for another security check. Think my connections are T5 > T5 if that makes a difference
And it seem to have worked for FilthyMonkey .... oh well let's hope everything is on time.

As far as the UK is concerned you aren't safe - sorry

The only exception to requiring security screening when connecting at T5 is if you arrive on a UK domestic flight - as Filthy Monkey did. Those passengers do not need to be re-screened at T5. As you are arriving in to LHR on international flights in both cases you will have to go through security. A car transfer can't bypass that requirement.

EDI, GLA, INV, NCL, MAN etc - they will try to drive you to where you need to be given there's no security screening again.
Works for all connections (excl. transfers on to domestic flights), not just arriving on domestic. The initial trial was domestic arrivals only but was expanded last year

Where do you get taken to do security if doing an INT-INT connection?

I've had 5B, as well as A and C. There are several ways to do it, depending on origin and departure points, but if arriving airbridge into (e.g.) C they can walk you via Flight Connection C and then on to the car; alternatively driven to C65 and up a staircase to Flight Connections, then down again afterwards. T5B you can leave via the bus departure gates, T5A effectively the same, or just along from it, using A10.

Without delay shouldn't be a problem (hand luggage only) but a summer storm could delay the JFK departure etc. j would feel good to know BA would have a possible way allowing me to still make my connection )

Normally I wouldn't but the outwards leg has the risk of getting delayed by summer weather events (we have sometimes nasty winds there at the east coast ... not as high as in Chicago etc when a storm hits but enough for delays. And the next flight to hannover is many hours later .... coming back is less of a problem as getting back to the NYC area is easy.
Not worries just being prepared ("when you are prepared it will never happen "Murphy)

Apart from knowing where you are going when reaching T5 what else do you want to do? The premium car transfer is not automatic and not on request.
