T3 lounge - QF or CX for a quick visit? (BA Gold)

Have a trip through T3 in the next few days; I've been to the excellent Cathay First lounge before, but haven't been through since QF opened their new lounge. Is QF worth the trip over CX? Time probably limited to just seeing one lounge, unless they're physically next to one another?

They are right next door to each other. Having been to the QF I am not sure I will bother again and will probably keep sticking to the CX lounge.

What would you do in the lounge? Eat? Drink? Use Wifi? Read newspapers? Anything specific? Golds are in the fortunate position of using 7 different lounges in T3, they all have something to recommend them, and indeed many threads giving advice on these points.

That rules out AA then, and BA have a better newspaper selection than the others, but depending on exactly what you are eating/drinking it's probably still heading to CX. The argument for Qantas is that if you have not tried it then there's the dreaded #FOMO .

I liked the vibe of the QF lounge but the CX is definitely better in my opinion - especially the First dining area.

They do a lovely burger in the First dining area of the CX lounge. Strongly recommend that if you are into them...

The gin bar in th QF lounge was advertised by many as beeing something extraordinary.

I join the crowd voting for CX F.

If you're gold, CX F all the way.

Without having tried QF yet, I doubt anything would change, except that sit-down dining in CX can be (justifiably) slow in much the same way as the CCR is. It's meant to be something to linger over, though!

I would like to check out T3 (never been before! And only been to T5 once) - but I reckon I would decamp to the QF lounge given I feel that the CX F will be similar to what I get here in HKG (e.g. Pier F).

CX lounge rules. QF is not bad but somewhat smaller, has a very restricted tarmac view and I was quickly bored.

After having tested them all:
1. CX
2. QF
3. AA
4. BA

BTW: A friend with Silver preferred the CX lounge over the QF lounge.

Would CX be the best for breakfast options?

This. I'd only go to the QF lounge for the Gin. Otherwise CX F.
