S*$t, I was kind of hoping they would move the MIA flight out a bit, as it has sometimes been a lunch flight (meaning after 9:45am). If they've really done this, we'll have some work to do

I am NOT getting on the 6am. No way. Even with the best of intentions and an early arrival from Sacto on Saturday and consequent rest, there's no way I want a 4am wake up call that day. 5 will be bad enough. Looks like i am going to JFK - not my preferred way to do this, but on the plus side I am on an actual F ticket, not J, so I can grab me a nice transcon. It will take an eternity to sort it out with AA as they will basically need to rebuild the whole return flight, but needs must. Shame as I was looking forward to trying a new 772 and I actually like transiting through MIA on the whole, even in the dead of summer. Ah well ...

Are you sure you made a reservation for PHX? You must be lucky then. On my mini-DO flights AA has made 5 changes so far, flight numbers and/or times.

Doing the OTP-PHX run also in early July , I already have 13 changes from the original itinerary, the record high is inbound PHX-LAX currently in the 5th mode since start.

I actually considered that, and concluded that it's not likely and will end very badly

So yeah, looking at the AA445/238 then onto BA at 9:30. TBH I won't need the TPs, was thinking of just getting on PHX/JFK but it won't be anywhere near as nice a flight. This is too much work

Thanks to @teledude (and others) for the Heads Up. I juggled my flights late last night ... managed to get JFK-PHX-JFK replaced with JFK-LAX-PHX-LAX-JFK (as per others). However, the price of an extra 80 TPs and a flat bed to/from JFK wasn't totally free ... due to my 19:00 JFK-LHR flight (which I'm taking as it enables me to do the LHR-HEL-LHR-OTP shuffle all on Monday) ... I have to drag myself on to the 06:00 PHX-LAX flight. The comments above about 'the most expensive shower' are going to be true for me at the HGI Phoenix. At least I can doze off on the LAX-JFK flight.

I called the GGL Line at midnight last night, got through to the Indian call centre ... and was put through to pretty much the most professional BA staff member I've had in a very long time. He took all the details, told me to go back to bed and assured me would have it all sorted when I woke up. Which he did.

Anyways, for clarity, he is my complete flight itinerary ... and (sorry) but please could someone update it to the Wiki .. thank you kindly.

That looks like a nice little earner I estimate (80+80+80+140+140+40)x2 = 1120 TPs !!! How much did you pay in the end ?

Just a note of caution - that HEL turn on the inbound will be grueling (I speak from personal experience ) so eyemask & noice-canceling headphones a must !

Is 1hr 25mins a legal connection at JFK between BA and AA? I thought it was longer?

Nearly sure 2hrs is the MCT between T7 & T8, in either direction.

Yes, learned that the hard way earlier this year, as 1h55m was not approved. But if this itinerary has passed the eye of the needle...

Personally I would look for an earlier LHR-JFK flight to be on the safe side

yes, 2 hrs. arriving at 14:05 in T7 and departing at 15:30 from T8 is not bookable. it's possible with aa flight changes that this is what currently is showing in the booking, but at some point the system will notice and rebook so it may be worth the OP looking at options now and pro-actively calling to sort it.
