That is annoying. If a daft politician can find his way to 5B, maybe others will too. What a shame as 5B is the best lounge for us non-CCR types.

V unlikely to fly private unless on a complicated and time sensitive itinerary. The PM and very senior cabinet ministers have the special fit RAF Voyager if needed, but that comes with a lot of faff. I’d be surprised if politicians would want the negative publicity of flying F, so I suspect it’s Club World or ET/CE for the vast majority.

So true. Nowadays politicians have to fly Ryanair to get votes from the hordes. Who cares about their actual performance?

I always found the UK government travel policy very sensible TBH. In Italy we have a fraction of the money and our politicians charter entire planes for them. Until now, with ministers posting Instagram videos proud of their Y class tickets to China.

Interesting times.
