Liam Payne (formerly of One Direction) was in our F cabin (in 5K) en route JFK, spotted by my 14 year old daughter. He very happily posed for a selfie with her as we disembarked, much to the annoyance of his surly manager who barked at her 'that is your side of the cabin' pointing across to the A side, as she initially approached him at the end of the flight.
Said manager then had a message sent to US border control that a celeb was coming through and they wanted some special treatment. The CBP obliged but their 'VIP booth' was much slower than our Joe Public queue and we left them for dust.
He was, however, very nice and spent a fun few moments with daughter which made her holiday.
