Hi
Really need your help here. I'm currently on a family cruise and just realised I need to spend an extra $1500 to re qualify for for EXP with AA before the end of the year. I've got the mileage just not the $1200 spend.

The problem I have is time, I can only go between 27th - 31st December from Dublin. I don't mind ex EU from other countries but I'm based in Ireland.

There are generally good J prices around for christmas/new year but I fear I have missed them. I've had a quick look with google flights but can't see much that will have me home in time for New Year.

Can anyone suggest an sweet spots I could look at - mid haul or long haul, I don't mind coming straight back or staying a night or two.

The ship is leaving port now so I'll be back tomorrow to hopefully book something. I know this is the BA board, I'm based in Ireland/UK and some of my best MR's have been inspired here.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Just booked decent fare from Jakarta to London on QR , various dates available for around IDR 29,000,000 (£1550.00) both changeable and refundable at a cost

For extra miles flights from Doha - London or London - Doha can be booked as BA flight hence count towards 4 Metal flights and extra Mileage.

Not the cheapest though TK are currently offering £1450.00 and Malaysian during there frequent Sales £1290.00

Indeed, it's as low as £1100 on some dates!

You can do VA PE for 2 x people RTN to the same destinations for the price at the moment of one person in CW.

This is an outstanding fare - you can reduce it with Avios as you’ll earn a good chunk back

You can get a better TP ratio doing something like the AMS BKK fare but for JNB/CPT during peak season £1200 is beyond a bargain.

Trying to find a decent fare in from Lon(ideally LGW) to FAO. Have to be there on the 25th May, 3/4 days around there would be awesome.

Not a TP run, but 80tps would push the wife into Silver. Im only seeing fare over £250 in ET and over £500 in CE.

Anyone got any creative routing ideas which may reduce cost at all?

How about the IB fare ex-LGW to MAD (£160 or so in J) then another ticket MAD to FAO?

Thank you.

Having no luck finding an achievable connection, not that £160 fare.
