Beware. Lufthansa will use A319 with Euro-J on this route!

Looking out for flights to NYC or LAS over new year in J. Anyone any suggestions? I’m based in DUB and seeing about €1600 to JFK or €1800 to LAS but anything better out there?

My suggestion is hold your nerve and make a decision end of Nov - this has over the last few years had some interesting deals, either 2 for £2018 / additional reward seats etc etc. Three weeks also until Black Friday where they might want to shift some Xmas excess capacity

Andy, have you checked Flight + Hotel prices? Saw a few good prices recently for NYC however that was EX-LHR, not DUB

There’s some Aer Lingus flights for around €1300 to NYC from Dublin (29 Dec to 1 Jan) but you don’t get BAEC tier points sadly. The price is from Google Flights with the infamous “book with travel agent” option to get this price.

Seems my waiting has paid off. DUB-LHR-JFK in J has dropped by €200 to approx €1400 for New Years, think I’m happy enough with that. DL seem to be price matching on the direct DUB-JFK but I’ve very little experience of them

If you are based in DUB and don't care about avios/TP, I would certainly take the nonstop DL flight. It is a 764, so you should try to get a solo window seat. Those directly against the window are best for privacy. I would rank them better than any BA CW (except 747 UD). And you would avoid the messy transfer in LHR and risk of misconnect.
