LHR/MAN/NCL/LBA/GLA/EDI/ABZ/BHD - HNL/LIH/KOA/OGG

Oct 2018 to Jan 2019

About £1500 in J

OTAs cheaper than BA.com

Could be a good TP-earner too, without the need for ex-EU

Should be slightly cheaper if you start in INV.

Depends on how you route, this should really be in the TP Run thread if that's more your interest. London via JFK and LAX assuming business would be 140x6 or 840.

Starting in INV and finishing in LHR / Regions is cheapest option however please note that its quite restricted so you can't do JFK & LAX on this fare if you are going to HNL just LAX

Apologies in advance for what will, to some, seem like a nooby question, but...

I don't know one type of plane from another (other than the fact that they're big, medium sized and small), but I seem to recall someone here once saying that routing to HNL via DFW would result in a more comfortable journey. Is that so? I've been looking at booking this fare and travelling via DFW seems to be very convenient, with the DFW-HNL leg on a 777 (whatever that is ).

Just taken a quick look at this: 27th December to 7th January INV-LHR-LAX-HNL returning HNL-DFW-LHR-INV can be done for £1432 according to Matrix, as little as ~£1417 for the same dates on Expedia (haven't double checked the same flights but should be).

The DFW-HNL 777 will get you a business class seat like this:

Whereas the LAX-HNL A321 will get you this:

As far as I'm aware there are no 777,767 or A321T aircraft scheduled on LAX to HNL for the next 12 months.

There will be a 772 at some points, it will do the 3pm departure from LAX and red-eye back again, but it is VERY sporadic and usually loaded in the 8 weeks out schedule update.

There is also an A332 on PHX-HNL in peak periods, in place of one of the two daily B752s, again loaded usually a couple of months in advance.
