I just checked next Wednesday October 17.

The whole week shows Off Peak but I didn't try and click through any other dates..

or logging in as UK/HK or through VPN

Let me know if you want to test any options.

I must say I found avios avail on the route very odd late September early October. CX was showing 9's in all classes as was QR but no avail even with a call. Cash prices were crazy. A few days later and QR is offering flash sales.

i think this is one of those which is incorrectly marked as off peak. HfP has the full calendars and that whole week is peak.

That seems to explain it.

Thanks

I am looking at flying HND-DOH-ZRH with QR and paying with Avios.

Booking it online shows 112500 avios + 41.60 CHF. If I look at the legs separately it is the same Avios but 29.60CHF + 125.70CHF in taxes.
If I call BA and try to book it with a 26h stopover, will I get the same taxes as for only 2h stop, or will it be the sum of the parts?

Try pricing it up on ITA, BA's taxes should be similar.

Did BA recently enhance YQ for itineraries starting in the USA?

IAH-LHR-EDI in F/J now has YQ & fees close to $800 USD

The same route was a little over $500 a couple of months ago.

It might be worth having a look at this thread: Ex-US Fuel Surcharges for F up 50%

I’m flying LHR-YVR on 16 Dec, returning 2nd January, both in CW. With the exception of cancellations, is there any chance BA could release additional redemption seats if First is undersold or CW oversold? I’m hoping a seat becomes available to UuA to a First one way, or am I wasting my time checking regularly?

They could open up, so keep checking. You could setup an alert on ExpertFlyer also or use baredemptionfinder.com.

Online available awards on AA are not bookable

Hi folks,
iI tried to book my first awards on ba.com for the upcoming year and encountered a problem with to book: KOA-PHX-MIA-LIM .
The ba.com online search shows me availabilities for all 3 segments, but I could only book KOA-PHX stand-alone and PHX-MIA-LIM separately. Both times 7 availae Y/C seats.
To get everything on 1 ticket (1h20 min in PHX is too hot for me) I called the BA hotline to get this booked.

In total I called 3 times now, every time they told me they can't book PHX-MIA as it's not availabe to them / already full.
On the other hand one hotline employee agreed that they are avaiable seats but the system wouldn't let them book.

Did you have something similar with BA / AA?. I asked them to escalate this to the oneworld desk, but they didn't do

As a work-around is it maybe possible to online reserve the awards online in 2 seperate bookings, because it seems like that online I could book it as above described.
WIth only a reserved booking the hotline could combine both in 1 ticket.

Do you have any other ideas to get this solved?

Flight should be:

UuA and DIF fares

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has posted about trying to UuA and seeing the wrong price online and how to get around it! I ended up checking for upgrade space to CW and saw it was available so I booked my WT+ seats online and called in to get the proper price and complete the upgrade. I would have overpaid if I did it online for sure! I even had it calculated out ahead of time because of all of your great posts on calculating the difference in the YQ surcharge.

Thanks!

Just to confirm,

There is no way to so a 2 class upgrade with Avios?
I am in WTP and there is an F redemption available.. That would be amazing but computer (and call centre) says no.
