BA198 [BOM-LHR] 7700 Squawk [and diversion to GYD]

How accurate is Flight Radar24/ BA198 just squarked and has been losing altitude and spped quite rapidly over Baku, mid flight...

It just changed direction at 1300 ft looks like its going for landing in Baku.

FR24 is usually accurate - I'd assume it's a medical emergency...

That flight is having a bad week - it diverted to Frankfurt yesterday.

For those of us who haven't yet memorised all of BA's flight numbers... BA198 is BOM-LHR.

It's one of the easier ones - the digits add up to 18, which is the age when you say "BYE" to MUM - thus Mumbai (BOM).

But many of us are frequent flyers rather than aviation geeks and knowing where the aircraft was coming from and to is helpful in understanding the thread.
