How to know if BA flight has Wifi

Hi Guys
Quick one - is there anyway to know in advance if your BA flight has Wifi Available on Board?
I am on one of the old 747's headed to Miami soon and I'm not sure if these plans have Wifi on?
Thanks in advance!

This thread may help https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/brit...-underway.html

It seems from the wiki that none of the mid-j 747 aircraft (assuming that is what you are on?) have it.

MIA is usually served by the mid-J 747s, so no WiFi I’m afraid.

To be honest, many of the flights I've been on which were supposed to have wifi, the wifi was not working anyway, so I wouldn't hold my breath... If wifi is critical to you, many other airlines would be a better choice than BA.

Only way is to check the tail no but you won't get it on a mid-J

When I fly to USA for work, I need WiFi (and like up to date IFE) so that means AA to the USA.

You should have flown AA across the Atlantic

BA is not (yet!) up to the mark, except for short overnight East Coast to UK sectors.
