'Tis for me. Drives me round the bend. Lord knows how many times I'm going to have to enter details before these get cemented into my profile. Grrrrrrrrrr!

I'd rather accepted that this must be the way it is for everybody, but perhaps it's a glitch specific to my account. I'm special

What I don't understand is. I've had "Seating preference = Window" on my account for years now. I have not ONCE been auto allocated a window seat. I always have to go and manually pick a window seat. So why have the preference at all?

If you don't select a seat straight off and leave it up to 48 hours, it should gravitate to the window preference in due course.

Yeah I have window as preference and last time I lost at curtain roulette got shunted to a middle or aisle (can't remember which), despite there being window seats available.

Also sometimes get the please update details prompt when they are all already there...It seems to disappear of its own accord.

That never has happened to me. When I was blue and bronze I never bothered picking a seat (and if I did it was at online check in time).
