Just managed to book the 2-4-1 offer for between Christmas and New Year, £2,200 for the 2 return J flights from GLA-LHR-JFK. 747 on both LHR-JFK sectors. Only downside is that it was a booking for my in-laws rather than for me!

Do they have sales for solo flyers or is it always only for 2 travellers like the Swiss business fare offers from Canada?

Fed up of these 241 offers that exclude solo flyers just price the damn things at £1000 (or whatever it is) per person. It also affects groups with odd numbers.

My money is just as good as anyone else so don’t discriminate.

And please don’t spout the nonsense that business rather than leisure flyers would benefit because I generally fly mid week to midweek which is not typical for a ‘businessman’ (or indeed woman) to be away. BA can adjust the fare rules to allow for that.

I think you'll find you can have 3 or more pax and still benefit from the discount.

Looks like you spotted the catch!

BA want to sell these tickets to passengers that would otherwise not fly, not to those that really need to fly and might pay more.

However, there does still seem to be quite a bit of award inventory around so maybe a PE fare plus upgrade might be available for you.

If you can start at JER and reduce by a few Avios - you can match the price of a 2-4-1 Voucher (£1,300) and earn TPs and break even on Avios!

So, any hint of any other oneworld deals given BA isn't interested in solo travelers?
