Other times you get ex LHR 1K West coast deals (a 2 for 1 2012/14, 1006/7 per person, but not 16). The good deals could be currency strength related though...
Maybe they've got healthy loads already for the festive period this year! Here's hoping for another 2 for 1 though! It would be a great shame if its an poor sale!

As always: Why are you all waiting for the airline to tell you that there's a sale on before realising that there's a sale on?

I thought that FTers were by now all savvy enough to realise that sometimes there's a sale on when the airline hasn't said (or hasn't yet said) that there's a sale on.

And sometimes the airline will tell you that there's a sale on when there's no sale on the routes/dates which you need.

Subtle hint, if you still need one:-
Code:
SALES RESTRICTIONS
FOOTNOTE RULE
RESERVATIONS MUST BE MADE ON/BEFORE 27NOV17.

If it is just a 4 day CW flash sale at 1500 return on most of the West Coast US then that is a disappointment. Especially as the starting departure date window is 25th Dec! This is very poor compared to previous BF sales! But, I guess, pretty similar to most BA sales this year! BF sales have tended to be better than most sales for CW when its 2-4-1.

But is that a sale fare?

There are plenty of free tools out there that will help to identify what there is, and what there isn't. And if one is interested in spending money on air fares, then there are paid tools which will repay an investment many times over. One must of course invest a little time and energy into the task as well.

I was thinking the 2 for 2012 was an even numbered sale, but I remember now it was supposed to be a celebration of the london olympics and was in November 2011, so was in an odd numbered year.

These sales have not always been Black Friday either. That is only recently. I remember November 29th being a reoccurring "DAMMIT, I'm already booked!" day...

I agree...but not everyone is an EF/Matrix pro. Most folks just wait for the airline to plaster it all over the front page

One of the two headline Club Europe fares is "Flights to Billund from 352 one-way"

I know Black Friday is mostly a marketing gimmick, but really??

If you go into the low price tool, Billund is available as an overnight for 86 each way in business class.

Malta for 136 each way for 2 nights is also a standout for those of us of a LGW persuasion. Might be some nesting possibilities there.
