The banner is live. The deals are not.

Yep, I saw the banner on logging in just now. Clicked on "See all offers" to be told that the offer has ended on the next screen.

Guess they are in the process of loading it all in.

Iíve just held some WTP flights LHR to Rio for March that have dropped a further £75 today and are the cheapest I have seen in 3 years (now £985 return). Part-pay with Avios didnít seem to be increased, sadly.

WTP ... gulp ...

There are some holiday deals there at least - e.g. 1635gbp pp for 3 nights in NYC at the Arlo and CW flights (leaving on 25th only though!)

The Black Friday banner seems to have disappeared however I do see SFO/SJC for example at £1689 on the 25th/26th December. Maybe there has been a problem loading the fares?

These are pretty poor compared to yesteryear.

LHR-MNL in Feb at least for £1,800ish. Lots of change points, not all on OW metal or BA numbers.

Seems like one of the off years, as expected. There seem to be years where you get around 1.5K (sometimes with holiday hotels, which is ok deal) to East coast from LHR which isn't wonderful because people wanting to go such routes might go via DUB for extra TPs anyway. Other times you get ex LHR 1K West coast deals (a 2 for 1 2012/14, 1006/7 per person, but not 16). The good deals could be currency strength related though...

My sense is that someone has dropped the ball in the BA IT team or that they were not ready across the board. They initially posted the banner for the Black Friday sale at midnight, but then pulled it down as clearly the fares etc had not been loaded.

It may be that they now wait until midnight tonight before relaunching this campaign. Fingers crossed.

Just opened BA.com and no Black Friday Banner! Maybe it will be reloaded at 11.30am-12 (midday) today, I believe thats still their website refresh time when new marketing appears, no?

But then it seems a bit silly to have a count down, I guess it doesn't matter when it starts more when the count down ends!
