Unfair status award by BAEC

Found this on my FB this morning.

How is it possible this new member got bronze by only flying one economy flight from Peru and how is the validity set to the end if 2020?

Totally agree.

I was just perusing FT and can barely contain my disbelief at the extent some people will go to to extend their post count - it’s all just fluff and padding.

Bronze bears are ten a penny these days. I suppose the extension of membership is a result of some BAlls up along the way.

I wonder if he uses the tags on his battered bags?

As for the cats expiry in 2020, maybe he got caught up in the IT meltdown?

I’ve had to earn my status the hard way and object most strongly to individuals receiving such largesse. I will never fly BA again!

I thought this kind of VIP would be given Premier status by default?

Did they make him gate check his cabin bag suitcase?

That could have been a sticky situation if deprived of marmalade supplies.

I wonder if they charged him for marmalade sandwiches
or more than likely he got one of those ‘is there anything I can get you’ visits

This would be the new enhanced bronze tags?

He's going to be mighty annoyed when he finds out they don't stock marmalade onboard.

A nice piece of advertising by BA - and likely one which cost no more than 0.5p per passenger (before anyone starts complaining again that the marketing budget should be spent on improving blah blah).

Well done BA.
