I am sorry to learn that, Uncle T but infer that she survived for which I am delighted.

Donated, inspired by your whimsical attitude to a dreadful hand. Keep fighting Dave, that business class seat is just waiting for you.

Dave, you're inspiring.
My career is in cancer and I understand your noble fundraising for Roy Castle.
Personally, I much rather give to another good cause:

Dear Mods,
It seems I have violated the forum rules despite my best intentions and my fundraising threat for Dave has been closed.
Dave for Gold
I have insufficient posts to open a threat in the Flyertalk Cares! forum and would be grateful if someone else could reopen this?

I'm giving this another go.
Regrettably I cannot post on Flyertalk Cares as I don't have the required 130 posts.
If anyone with more posts, who shares my sentiment in supporting Dave for Gold, could open a thread please?

His blog confirms he's still able to travel and it would be nice if we could get him back into J whilst he can.

If there is no further interest I'll forward him the proceeds in 1 week. At the present level of fundraising that might stretch to 5 TPs HBO.

Although I didn't know Peacefulwaters (Dave Stringer) I followed him via his blog since I first became aware of his illness last year when he started this thread.

Sadly this morning his son Chris posted a message on the blog to say that he has died.

Dave's humor and humanity were inspirational, thank you Dave for sharing your journey with us.

I saw this thread at the top of the board and hoped it wasn't this news.

I am full of admiration for Dave's attitude and he really taught me something about living life. Condolences to his loved ones. I am sure he will be hugely missed.
