BA/AA v DL - comparisons?

I am about to book the next ScruttonStreet family holiday, this time to Nicaragua. The choices are a mixture of BA (longhaul) and AA (shorthaul), or Delta all the way. Timings are roughly the same.

It's 20 years since I have flown DL long haul, so is anyone able to say how it compares to OneWorld? It's a fair bit cheaper than the BA/AA option, tho the TPs would be handy for the family if we stuck to what we know.

Between DL and AA, DL currently has the more reliable product.
