Completely in agreement with the almost universally negative opinion expressed above. Who on earth signs off on stuff like this?! I'm not sure which is the worse scenario: they paid an interior designer to select something so hideous or that they got them off Del Boy for a knock down price having "fallen off the back of a lorry"!

I actually really like that pink colour, the Tartan pillows very much compliment it and it looks very comfy.
Very understated, traditional and that is in the style of BA but as always YMMV on what people think of it. I look forward to seeing the other sections corporate-wage-slave has mentioned and the styles there.

I worry about your taste.:p
I did train as a Fashion Designer and Interior Designer but no one would buy my styles and ideas :p |
Maybe it's just a "bad angle"

If one is permitted to go back on topic, here is a photo of some of the new furniture. They have replaced the section between the east end of the bar and the glass windows partitioning off the terrace. About two dozen items in all, I think. I would take more photos but it's a bit of an effort shifting people out of their seats so I can take a snap. This is probably the smartest of the new items, I can see this turning into a go-to corner of CCR.

I think even the Alan Bennett class lounge of Yorkshire Airlines might have refused these aubergine leatherette beauties

My word, that is grim.

The end of taste. Stunned by the sheer awfulness of this.

Coming to work this morning and seeing Jim Bowen and Bullseye was not something I expected here to FlyerTalk. Let's look at what you could have won :D

Couldn't you get the bingo caller in the picture?
Actually it would be a nice cameo for 'Through The Keyhole'.....the 1960s sofas, the cheap and mismatched tables, the tired carpets. Could it be....er....a cash strapped pensioner? In your best David Frost voice. Well he is a CCR man isn't he? |

Firstly - thanks CWS; have been checking this thread to see if any pics would come in.
Onto the offending picture contents - I suppose at least now I can go into the CCR and be frequently reminded of my dead grandmother! All that arrangement needs is her old ashtray on one of the side tables..... The CCR looks tired; and this cannot help matters. Wasn't there a major long term refurb plan? Or is this it? Someone please put us out of our misery and get Ilse Crawford a contract at BA ^ |
