Was that luck or very good planning?

Jet lagged fare browsing finding the 2k fare was luck

lots of calculator work was planning

return date was stretched by 3 days when I realised it was just after my tp year reset -and it was luck that I noticed it at 4am!

Not a loaded question, just wondering?
No TP runs for me. Made this one the old fashioned way. And the Gold Card too ;-)

Nor me. Just old-fashioned holidays to distant places via TP-efficient routings

MLA was more like a run to the shops than our usual escapades, though. Only 2 sectors each way?

Nostalgia isn't what it used to be............

There are just so many Golds nowadays.

When I was Gold, it was worth having (e.g. Entry in to Concorde room) ...............now??

Hey enjoy!

The terrace at the Flounge is great when its nice and quiet and in the evening. The problem is when we are there, the pesky planes keep me distracted and I never get to eat my food or drink my beer! Thats probably a good thing tho...

I also prefer d and f btw - unsure why tho too!

No, Port Out when heading East, on the shadier side of the ship. Reverse fir Westbound, heading home.

Heading south to Cape Town would, undoubtedly, present difficult choices

I knew what it stood for - just thought it came about on journeys from northern to southern hemisphere. So heading South sun would be on you in morning but not in afternoon...

True, if 27L / 27R are in use then you get a wonderful view of London, usually turning onto finals just before tower bridge. If it was Ryanair, they'd probably look to charge for the view from the right hand seats!

IIRC, it originated with P&O (Peninsular and Orient) ships to India and the Far East ... an East/West route, of course. I see what you're thinking regarding morning and afternoon sun, though, on a North/South voyage.
