Sounds like the only thing they got wrong is the vetting process for the invitees.

BA is very good at keeping the group of passengers [mod: redacted] sweet.

The remaining majority, it couldn't give a toss about.

So did BA actually share any information that may be of interest to those of us on here who didn't get the golden ticket? Or was it just a lovely schmoozing opportunity for those fortunate enough to have been invited?

It was a great evening. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it and we had great company on our table including the F wine buyer.

Had some very interesting conversations including is a burger a F class dish? The F&B chap from BA would dearly love to remove it which gets my support.

Loved the goody bag as well

To those that went, was there any mention of the B-words (BOB)?

For those of us not familiar with such social circles, can you advise what passes for 'frivolities' during the coffee course?

Is that basically 'chocolates' rather than the complimentary slap and tickle i'm picturing it as?

Well done to those invited, do not begrudge you a nice evening om BA's coin, but was there anything interesting out of this, apart from the mutual back slapping?

PUCCI GALORE has retired so a walnut whip is about as good as it gets these days.

Is that a euphemism?

These days shrinkflation has worked its magic and it's now possible to buy a walnut-less version known simply as a "Whip".

They'd doubtless prove to be far more popular than the ubiquitous Ferrero Rocher.

I suppose it would have been inappropriate to cater for the event using those wonderful BoB offerings from M&S, just to show the GGLs how the peasantry lives?

Luxury! For the optimal effect they should send round a disaffected member of mixed fleet with the world traveller ambient snack basket, offering its delectable assortment of microscopic kitkats.

FT BAEC Goldies are more familiar with being served Arabic dates and coffee.
