Sorry - Canada doesn't use pennies any more. You'll have to spend a nickel

Probably easier just to visit an ATM when you get to Canada and take out cash.

I was quite pleasantly surprised. The staff are working very hard to make sure BA visitors are welcomed. We were escorted to the roped off area and shown to available seats.

There is is a small table in the corner with beer in an ice bucket, wine options (2 Chardonnay’s?!?) and soft drinks.

I wasn’t expecting the food to be great so we ate in the terminal. However, there were hot options including somm kind of chicken curry. It looked good enough.

There was plenty of room despite a full flight. The overall experience was better than I had hoped.

Is there any specific provision for F passengers / Gold Card holders?

Upon escort to the aforementioned roped-off area, any silver card holders will be shooed off the chairs and made to stand in the corner. If there is a CCR card holder on the flight they will be shown to a solitary chair that is also roped-off within the roped-off area. If there are 2 CCRs they will have to share said chair.

Not that I saw but I've recently slid down the BAEC leaderboard to Silver so wouldn't have been given that opportunity.

Thanks for the update F1flyer. Sounds like it could be worse, but doesn't sound like there is much of a range of wine, and possibly no spirits? No self-made negronis for me from now on!

I presume no boarding announcements as with previous team? Will miss their dedication and personal touch, holding the lounge door open and saying a personal goodbye to everyone.

I'm on the late flight in J next week and may have ~4 hours to kill in the lounge because of when my meeting is supposed to end. Sounds like this is decent enough and I could cobble together an acceptable dinner from the food options available? I'll report back on my impressions...

I'm gutted, this is my first experience flying First (next week) and won't get the full BA treatment. Boo!

Spirits are available and there is a BA employee who comes to announce the flight when ready for boarding.

Good to hear, this isn't sounding as bad as I first feared. I shall be able to try it out myself next week!

Try to "salvage" your trip by visiting the CCR in the arrivals lounge!

I wonder if Gold & Silver card holders will be stopped from entering the lounge when flying in Y or W? This has sometimes been the case for me (Gold) when flying in W from Montreal back to LHR (where BA uses a contract lounge)?

I’d rather drink at one of the bars than go in that dungeon at YUL
