There is " a smoking cage" by the flight connection bus drop off point at T3 . I think there are a couple of pictures on here IIRC

Regards

Seems some of the regional UK airports - BRS, DSA, NCL to name but 3 - can manage an outdoors airside smoking area (I don't think for a minute anyone is suggesting such an area should be indoors!) Even a larger airport like DUB can manage it too. But not the largest airport in the UK!

I think Greece would object to your latter comment!

This Thread will clearly descend into the usual, and repetitive, "I hate smoking/smokers" debate.

Would it be an idea to just let it die? Quietly?

I’m afraid I have a very low opinion of smokers and nothing will ever make change my mind.

I have a low opinion of sanctimonious whiners, who impose THEIR opinions on other adults who have made different choices.

There, I've said it. I shall now report myself to the Mods.

Have ever had to stand next to a smoker or pass through an area where smokers have been?

It would be embarrassing if T5 opened a smoking area before opening an airside gym

Once you have quit whining I challenge you to a 100 lap swim race....and once I have beaten you I will buy you a coffee while I stand outside having my victory smoke.

Your swimming doesn’t bother anyone, your smoking does.
