Name of 1990s entertainment system

Does anyone remember what the BA brand of in-seat entertainment was called? It was a looped video system with about six or seven channels. There were frequent ads with chrome-link dancing figures.

I want to call it "Lumia,"Humira," or perhaps even "Lunesta," but I don't think those aren't quite right.

Omnia. It became Highlife Entertainment in early 2002 IIRC

Next time I can't find my car keys or eyeglasses, I'm just going to post the question here.

For those among you/us who are curious the actual IFE equipment was the Total Entertainment System from Rockwell Collins.

I think there were two looks. This one and then a later one which was built around film reels. Would be keen to see them again if anyone has them.

How many of you remember when there used to be a film shown from a projector stuffed in the cabin ceiling? TWA ( scads ahead of BA in the seventies) used to have an "Adult" cabin on the 747 where they didn't put children and they showed more grown up entertainment. We used to hand out those ghastly stethescope type headsets.

What we called that wretched system back in the nineties is not repeatable here!

Yes, with those comical NHS style rubber tube headphones

Coming up next, Rick Astley's 'Together Forever'...

Indeed - we then graduated to a sort of earphones with tubes as the speakers were in the seat and those things were literally blowers.

Golfmad No? Really? Those poor tired 767s? I've never flown in Y on one of those as they do not have them in J

They were still using these as recently as 2014 on some JAL domestics.

This reminds me of a journey when I woke up 3 times to the same 10 minute ending of a film only to fall back asleep during the credits.
