Onboard WiFi has been introduced to BA's fleet and is being marketed as Highlife Connect. This thread is to track the rollout. See https://www.britishairways.com/en-gb.../wifi-on-board for BA's FAQ on the system.

Has anyone got around the one device situation?

Most other airlines seem to have it purely on the login - seems crazy not to have similar and to clearly restrict is based on MAC address.

In hotels I used to run my own network - no idea if this would work?

If you have an android smartphone, you can create a WiFi repeater (creating your own hotspot) to connect your other devices to. Have a look here: https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/techwiser.com/create-a-wifi-hotspot-from-android/amp/

I had WIFI from LHR to IAD the other day, I paid for the "fast" package and was able to stream 480p content (and sometimes 720p) the entire flight. Was very impressed and totally satisfied with the product.

I am flying Ba15 LHR-SIN-SYD so wonder whether the £23.99 ‘whole flight’ package would cover me for both sectors.

Sorry over my dead body would I pay for this. It should be complementary for business / first passengers,

£1000s of cash for a flight (in some occasions) to charge £20 odd for internet.. insulting

If other airlines are anything to go by, then no - will require more than one purchase.

that was my post and I can confirm that if you are on BA15 all the way through it will cover you for both sectors (and presumably the same in return on BA16) - screenshot below hopefully shows that a couple of hours out of Singapore the time remaining shows as 14 hours covering you through to Sydney.

Which aircraft who already have wifi? I knows they haven't install wifi from LHR to PHX yet.

What about LHR-BSL? Do they have wifi or not?

Sorry, don’t agree, no matter how much you have paid for your ticket. I’d rather it be a charged for service to ensure a good quality service with acceptable speeds, by setting it at a level where many people will not connect. The more people using it, the slower the service will be.

I have used the BA WiFi service several times and on each occasion been impressed with the speed/cost ratio.

Looks like all winter flights LHR-SAN return so far have been 747 86J with WIFI according to BA Source aircraft tracker. Looking forward to being able to get online is this is fully up and running this time next year.

There's been an update on the EAN. Testing on BA flights is due to begin in December with full roll-out by summer 2019 although flights to Scandanavia won't have wifi until 2020 as there won't be coverage over the North Sea until then.

We'll see how true this timeline is in due course...
