Onboard WiFi is being progessively introduced to both BA's long and shorthaul fleets and is being marketed as Highlife Connect. This thread is to track the rollout.

Exactly what you will have will depend on the aircraft and cabin. Once you know the aircraft type operating the flight you can check the details using this post:

This is a post from a thread in the dashboard that provides information on the fleet.

If it's still a Mid-J 747 on March 11th, then none of the seats have USB sockets, but World Traveller Plus, Club World, and First have AC power. World Traveller (Economy) doesn't have any power.

Thanks! I appreciate your help. I am sure that I can charger with my iPhone during the flight. I can go into mid-J class to charger my iPhone. I'll give flight attendant for my permission.

You may want to consider investing in a portable charger?

Just search the internet for portable USB charger and pick your favourite store.

On G-VIIJ. Not done the BA WiFi thing yet - Only IB. Will be interesting to see. Likely go for the top whack all flight option.

Thanks @corporate-wage-slave for the heads up the other day!!!

If you don't hear back from me either it's bust. Or we crashed. Or I fell asleep ;-)

Not sure if this has come up before, but are there any plans to add WiFi to the mid-haul A321s? Will they be done along with the short haul 321s?

Option 1 followed by 3 - couldn't get to the payment screen on any device. Then got bored and fell asleep. Oh well. Guess I won't rely on it for working any time soon!

I used the Wifi travelling to DXB yesterday (G-BYGD) and it was good as I got 4-6 Mbit and it was very stable and certainly miles better than my previous experience on the 777 to NRT (BA5).

Sadly, coming back on the A340 this Wednesday (BA104) as it looks like it's still Air Belgium so, no Wifi.

For those wanting/asking if WiFi sharing is possible between flights I have found a solution which worked for me using a MacBook Pro (New Verision) with an iPhone 8. I suspect people have tried iPhone to Mac where I used the Mac OS Internet Sharing option in system preferences to share the connection to my iPhone 8. I am currently on the BA283 which obviously had WiFi installed.

To get this working I did the below (Im on Mojave not tested below this)

Connect iPhone to MacBook via cable (I was using USB C to Lightning)
Then Launch System Preferences
Click on Sharing
Within Sharing settings scroll down to intenet sharing (do not tick it yet), select WiFi on the drop down menu.
in the "To computers using: select iPhone USB.
Tick internet sharing then click start on the pop up that comes up.

On the iPhone I had airplane enabled and Bluetooth on for my headphones. As soon as I did this I got notifications and also was able to access various sites etc. On the iPhone it does not show any connection (unlike if you reversed the connection (not sure if it works)).

I signed up to the 1 hour basic to check before signing up for the full flight. This then enables you to send and receive via WhatApp on your Mac as this requires your iPhone to have connection too.
