Onboard WiFi has been introduced to BA's fleet and is being marketed as Highlife Connect. This thread is to track the rollout. See https://www.britishairways.com/en-gb.../wifi-on-board for BA's FAQ on the system.

G-XLEB has positioned to Manila 06/01/2018 for maintenance - I can only suspect WIFI will be fitted whilst there?

Flying on A380 this weekend so hopefully i'll have one of the 4 WIFI enabled jets.

Great update!
Don't you mean CIVG as the only 86J not to receive wifi though?

I used the "browse" plan on BA7 to Japan a few days ago. Very slow, tested several times at around 300kbps. Not really fast enough for comfortable browsing! It also cut out a couple of times for around 30 minutes during the flight. Perhaps they were having issues with it.

I had wifi both ways to / from JFK last weekend. Wasn't mentioned at all. Maybe as so may competitors already have it, then they think it's not a differentiator.
Have to say though that it's disappointing that BA charges so much for the service even in F. I had to use it on the outbound for work, but on the return I didn't pay out of principle. On AY if travelling business, you get 1 hour (I think) free which is a good balance of cost of cabin vs Wifi benefit.

G-CIVG is the only 86J 747 not to receive WiFi.

G-XLEG/L, ZBJA-J, ZBKA-H, ZBKR/S will all be completed in 2020.

Wanted to ask about some missing frames there
G-STBF
G-STBJ
G-ZBJK
G-ZBJL
Or are they after 2020

Also are the due frames, namley the 3 ish 77Ws as well as the A350s/B787-10s delivered with the wifi already done?

Only frame I've flown on with wifi was G-CIVW back in november, the wifi was up and running but seemed to have no external data connection as it would fall over whenever trying to verify/contact the bank for the card details upon payment.

Thanks
Also first post~!
