BA A380 @ Kuala Lumpur Airport
Surprised to see a British Airways A380 parked next to a Malaysian A380 at the Satellite Terminal at Kuala Lumpur Airport. No mention anywhere of why its here.

British Airways A380 G-XLEJ, which has been under maintenance at Manila since 10th September, positioned Manila – Kuala Lumpur in the early hours of this morning as BA9170.

I was a little bit out on the landing fees, it's actually just over £900. But yes, they're taken from the airport website. The first 3 hours of parking is free, after that it's charged. Space occupied being the product of the span vs maximum length so 5,800m2 x 0.20GBP for every 12 an A380 is parked there.

On the flipside, 3 hours of free parking is better than my local high-street!

So I understand that they re-enter service in SIN as obviously that is a BA A380 destination, but in effect, they are an extra inbound flight (unless the outbound A380 is going to maintenance?)
So if in effect it's just an extra Asia - LHR A380 flight as they can sell seats and make more money rather than fly back to London empty, any reason why they don't add an extra KUL-LHR sector? Or BKK-LHR? Is SIN-LHR really providing that many extra seats?
I have looked in the next week and don't see an extra SIN-LHR service - i.e. a BA 3016 as they did previous when scheduling a bonus LHR-SIN flight, so perhaps the inbound flight is then heading to MNL for maintainance.
I hope MH get the chance to pop in and have a look at what a properly maintained A380 interior looks like... (sounds odd, but true).
