Wow, 125,000 Avios off-peak return in J. I know the prices are calculated in distance but that's a great deal with a 2-4-1.

What cost do you think this route will be in F, just in case if they ever do open up reward space ?

Good route to use a Joker, 241 and a GUF2 on I would have said. First for two people for 125,000 Avios on off peak dates. Food for thought!

How come people seem amazed by the pricing? It's quite a bit shorter than e.g. CPT or SJO which are also 125k off-peak return in J.

Wow - travelling at the moment so have only just seen this. My first thought was that they must be mad to resume SEZ, but maybe they're just very confident. And in fairness, the Seychelles government has reformed somewhat since 2004...

Why?

It's only twice per week, with no doubt a good chunk of seats being sold to BA Holidays, possibly allocations to other TOs as well, very strong premium demand from honeymooners, and no nonstop competition. It doesn't seem like a risky one to me.

Well today is indeed a happy day.

Back in 1978 SEZ was a bit of a 'hub' seemingly as on BA alone you could fly to SEZ from Addis, Colombo, HKG, JNB, NBO, Khartoum, MRU, Tokyo, and ZRH.

Mixture of VC10 and 747 on what look like the following runs:

LHR - Khartoum - Addis Ababa - Nairobi - Seychelles (VC10)

LHR - Zurich - Nairobi - Seychelles (747)

LHR - Nairobi - Seychelles - Mauritius (747)

JNB - SEZ - Colombo - HKG - Tokyo (VC10)

I am so excited!!!

Doing a little LHR - FRA - DOH - CMB - MLE run next month - also excited about that but looking forward to seeing SEZ again next year. (Sounds of Piggy Bank being burgled in the background). Woohoo.
