Group booking at LHR

I need to make a group booking for around 15 or so people (simple return for next year). I've got an hour or two spare at Heathrow on Sunday and was wondering if there's any way of making the booking while I'm there. It would be nice to avoid ages on the phone hearing how busy BA are. I'll be landing at T3 and heading out of T5 3 hours later, with club lounge access if that makes any difference.

Thanks

There is a group booking facility available on BA, with its own contact line process, detailed here. I can't see you being on hold for more than a few minutes if you call at the specified times:

From what I make out, this isn't necessarily going to be a bargain price, but the combination of deposit and ability to change names may well be crucial in these circumstances. As far as I can tell the ticketing agents in LHR can only handle the usual 1 to 9 passenger booking, on conventional terms, so it would be 2 bookings and probably not very flexible.

Thanks for the answer. I phoned up to enquire a couple of days ago and got cut off 3 times (we're busy try again later) and was then in hold for 30 minutes before being answered on the 4th attempt. Will just have to hope next time's quicker.

For anyone who's interested (couldn't find much about group bookings on here) : My impression is that the prices don't necessarily line up with the standard pricing, but it's not miles out. They can't do HBO group bookings, which is a shame. They now also do 2 options - paying a deposit only costs 18 pp more than paying up front. You get flexibility on names but not numbers.

Further to the above, the airports just don't have the system access to be able to make a traditional group booking.

They can access and provided limited service to them once they're made, but it takes a specific system setup and training to create and work a real group PNR.

If you can get through to BA Groups, or find a travel agent that specializes in them, you should find that the fare is close to but slightly below the published rate.
