Avios part pay mixed BA + Iberia

Wishful thinking I know, but is there any way to part pay with Avios for an itinerary that includes segments on both BA and IB?

It's BA and AA flights only for part pay with avios. The whole booking has to be eligible so once you add an IB flight in you won't be able to do it.

OK; having done some further searching it appears that this might be possible if I book through IB rather than BA. At least I found the following HFP article which says it should be if you call them:

http://www.headforpoints.com/2017/02...beria-flights/

Unfortunately my itinerary prices up as ~£100 more if I book through IB so I won't be going down this route but thought it may interest others going forward...
