LHR-BOS Amex 241 and Concorde Room?

Firstly, as a long-time reader but a very infrequent contributor, thank you very much to the prolific posters on here who are an an incredible source of info on all things BA.

After lots of points collecting (and help from this site) I've just managed to use my Amex 241 voucher for the first time and have booked LHR-BOS for me and my wife in F this November.

Although I'm a Silver card holder from lots of slogging around in Club Europe with work, it'll be our first time in First.

I just wanted to confirm that an Amex 241 booking is treated as a normal commercial F ticket by BA - will we be able to access the Concorde Room and all the usual perks that go with a First ticket? Is there any difference at all between this voucher and a commercial booking?

If anyone has any other tips specific to BOS or this route I would be very grateful. Currently we're debating whether to go for 1 E&F or 2E&F on the 777, both of which are available. We're hoping to make the most of what I'm hoping will be a great experience.

Thanks in advance for any help.

You get treated as a First customer with all that entails.

As far as service is concerned none whatsoever ^

Enjoy your first First, but be warned: once you've been up there you'll not want to travel any other way!

Advice

- Get to the airport earlier than normal to enjoy the Spa and CCR room without being rushed.
- Book your Spa appointments (via YouFirst) 30 dyas before to guarantee the best timings.
- Get to the lounge early on the way home (if you are lucky you'll get served by the excellent Juan), that is unless you are on the 8am flight.

Advice: The FA will offer you a box of nice Lauden chocolates after the meal. The box is not entirely for you. He will need it back in order to serve the rest of the cabin.

(Source: Years ago, on my first international F trip, I did not know this.)

F on the A380 to BOS might have been more of a treat

Still, very good chocolate. I believe Lauden just recently won an award for it!

Oh indeed. I love Lauden chocolate.

As a very moderate drinker but big chocolate lover it bugs me that chocolate is so rationed in F. If offered at all, I'm lucky to get more than two pieces when I'd happily work my way through the whole box on a long flight.

Has it been a while since you've flown? The current chocolates in First are Hotel Chocolat - I've found crew have been good in recent times in offering the chocolates (and prising them out of my wife's hands ). Of course if the crew do forget to offer the chocolates the OP shouldn't hesitate in asking for them.

There is an indirect method of rationing the chocolates. They are difficult to get out of the box.

Yes, I made the "hog the choccies" mistake.

Fortunately I'd eaten in Manchester lounge, Club Europe, CCR and on the 777 so didn't go to town on them!
