BA advertises 'Business Resilience Executive' job vacancy.

A new role, or did someone's head roll over the IT outage fiasco?

https://jobs.ba.com/jobs/vacancy/bus...7/description/

I checked the first two pages of threads to see if anyone had posted this already

It seems odd that an executive/core member job is being added as a *new* position to an existing team.

Maybe BA needs a CRO = Chief Resilience Officer.

Does BA supply the hi-vis vest as part of the uniform?

Do you think if I had the fact I'm a GCH to my CV that's pretty much me hired?

Don't be misled by the term "executive" - from the linked JD this is quite a junior role !

I looked at the JD and it is basically an admin role.

The 'executive' reports to the resilience manager.

in a crisis you'd likely be carrying Alex's hi-viz rather than making major decisions!

Is the pay exactly the same as the new crew contracts?

Out of interest, the section 'airside pass or no barrier to obtaining one'... What does that entail? Basic CRB? or something a bit more detailed?

I would expect the pay to be consistent for the rest of the company, 28k?

It's somewhat more detailed, see http://www.heathrow.com/file_source/...c-standard.pdf

Maybe they need someone to go around the data centre with a dymo labeller, printing off 'please do not turn off' signs for all the switches...
