Nosiness at First Check-in

I was checking in yesterday at the First bit, and while waiting for my boarding pass, I noticed a piece of paper folded up by the screen. It was a daily briefing note for First check-in Staff.

The bits that I found interesting were that they were expected 2,200 Gold Card members and 14 Premier Card holders. It also had a list of flight numbers where there might be "Possible downgrades". I had a thought that a screenshot of that piece of paper would be contraband Gold on this forum.

That daily movement sheets has made occasional forays to this forum before, particularly the status numbers, but as it's an internal BA document it's probably not the right home for it in this forum. Prems=CCR+Prems incidentally. Anyway, you know what happened to the cat.....

Only 14 CCR card holders + Prems in a day?

That substantially fewer than I thought. I thought CCR card holders were dime a dozen.

Some days I'm the only status qualified visitor. Some CCR members travel on particular days (e.g. LW on Thursdays, Filthy on Fridays) but midweek there aren't that many. So it's boom and bust on that one. I discovered the other day that the collective noun for Pine Martens is "a richness of Pine Martens", maybe I can slide this usage in here.

~480 CCR at the moment I believe.

The last time I saw the sheet was a Sunday and it was just 5 in the prem category for the day.

How about a pitying of turtle doves? Perhaps a more appropriate collective noun for BA passengers of late. ;)

Wow I am really surprised by how many CCR card holders there are. I thought it was way more than that.

As someone who's about to qualify for CCR in the next few weeks and currently travels at least once a week through T5 - is there any real difference to the service I'd expect at the First Wing (or elsewhere across the network)? Escorts through the airport etc?

I was coming through the First Wing the other day and could hear a loud member of staff readying the team for "the wife of one of our Prem's" who was imminently arriving. I'm not going to be setting any expectations with mrs baflyer999 that she can expect that type of treatment when I move up to CCR status ;)

That would be wise.

The collective noun for a gathering of GGLs is 'an importance'.

Nothing of the sort happens. So, it's wise not to set any expectations. The only thing my husband gets is an extraordinary number of op-ups including doubles.

Does CCR status really generate a number of op ups - and to clarify is this for the card holder or their partner? In the last few years, the only upgrades I've ever had have been once a year, from ET to CE, and only when travelling on a fully flex ticket purchased at the last minute. I'm normally on corporate fares and tend to get diddly squat. Never had a long haul upgrade
