LHr-SAN (via IAH) for the weekend. It seemed like a good idea when I booked it.

London to the Maldives for 2 nights in QR J via Doha 2 summers ago. My wife had just passed her medical finals and as it was a short notice celebratory booking, I could only get 2 days off either side of the weekend. We still look back on that trip as the most memorable of our lives

Long weekend in Tokyo several years ago. It was a glorified mileage run to bump my status a tier but managed to get in a couple of days of fun in Tokyo before returning to California. For some reason, the airline had waived the normal stay requirement so the fare was quite low.

I suppose one way is if the trip is an Avios booking then it would not be a TP run.

DFW-NRT-SIN-NRT-DFW. Arrived 12:10 AM on Saturday, flew out 8:00 Sunday morning
~40 hours in the air RT for 18 hrs on the ground. Boss offered me his about-to-expire SWU's, found ~20K EQM in J for under $1k so I jumped on it. That 772 though...

Overnighters for football matches.
Malta and Wroclaw the two most recent.
Out, game, no hotel, and the first flight back to the UK.

For leisure I haven't made any notably short trips, but for work I often make short trips. The furthest is Europe to New Zealand for 24 hours. I find that I don't have a problem with jet lag on the really short trips.

I go to CMB for 12 hours. Fly via DOH out and HKG in with QR and CX in Business and get 560 tier points.

PER-DXB-LHR-SIN-SYD-AKL (partly on BA) - dropping my Dad off back in the UK at LHR at just after 5am, then back to AKL (to meet my wife) that evening.

Or SYD-SFO-AUH-SIN-SYD over just over 48 hours (not BA) - for medical procedure in SFO, then miles booking via EY to get home.
