More First lounge pilfering champagne

More modest scale than filling a bag with beer cans, but no less amusing a man just came to the champagne bar and poured Henriot into a Fentiman's Ginger Beer bottle (presumably empty, unless there's a cocktail I don't know about or he found a way to smuggle it through security. Needless to say, it was a very messy affair.

If he adds a shot of vodka it becomes a champagne mule. Very fashionable!

Yes. To be honest, from BA's perspective, the worst is not the loss of a quart of champagne, but I know from conversations with staff that those refrigerated stands are very sensitive to liquid spills.

Did he remember to put a metal spoon in it? Otherwise it would have been flat by the time he got round to drinking it on board.

Must be a Goldie flying down the back. How incredibly tacky/messy. That sort of conduct gives HNL and/or ANC Golds a bad reputation.

Tsk tsk its always you golds.

Never see this type of behaviour in the GC lounges, we just sit quietly wincing at the Liebfraumilch special and staring in disbelief at the flossy flans.

Really can't get worked up about this. Either he drinks it in the lounge or takes it away to drink later...

I pilfered a 150ml can of Diet Coke and one packet of Kettle Chips for my return ET sector yesterday.

If you host a dinner party at yours are you ok if people take a couple of beers from your fridge to drink later when they get home?

Ooooh ... so that now makes me a PROPER Gold, having never been near TLL?

This is a pretty poor analogy/comparison. I hope you get a bite though!

I've seen some odd analogies on FT before but this might be the oddest I've ever seen. The two aren't even comparable.

PS: And I wouldn't mind if one of my guests wanted to do that - I'm a good host.
