Perhaps explains what the EK crew were doing pouring the Champagne back into the bottle. EK we're going to sell it to BA...

Isn't Dom just vintage Moet? And Moët is pretty poor.

There have been a few positive comments on here about it, but I like the LPGS so will always take that over the second option - especially if the other option is DP (horrid stuff).

I've always wanted to like Nyetimber, but it rarely lives up to its own hype I find.

Indeed; it lacks depth of flavour, as if it was made from a marginal vineyard for that style of wine, on the edge of a good area - which it is, until climate change warms up the UK some more.

Meanwhile, I hope BA does not go with Dom Perignon; Dom is far too dry and sour. LPGS is good, but if they want to change they should look to something more balanced in the style of Comtes de Champagne, not the Dom.

Remember when F had Krug? I remember on my last Concorde flight I really enjoyed the Pol Roger SWC, shame that that is all gone.

Yes, the PR SWC 1986 I had on the Rocket was quite something. Including the trolley rolling around the CCR beforehand groaning under the weight of it.

Just had a friend take off for Denver in F. He confirmed the Dom Perignon as well, so guess it is all routes?

I would rather BA didn't spend so much money and effort in this 'exclusive' corner of their operation, and perhaps spread the love further down the food chain.

I do also wonder how the numerous oeonogists here would cope with blind tastings without being able to see the 'designer label'.

Anyway, wine is all about individual palates, scenarios and circumstances, innit?

Exactly.. i've become a huge fan of Rhuinart this past while and frankly think most Dom, atleast at altitude, taste like cat piss.
My last EK First flight I went with the higher end rhum instead.
Couldn't stomach the first glass of Dom.

My GF.. loved the Dom.. Sweat vs Savoury? We all have our own preferences.

Hopefully the caviar will come back next. That might tempt PETER01 on his much needed tier point run.

And how much extra will that cost us to fly F instead of J, for the sake of some fish eggs?

Apologies for liking DP.

I also enjoy C de C, PR SWC and PJ Belle Époque.

I have a F flight next weekend so will be interested to see what is served on board.

Any changes in the CCR?
