Those sent to Cranebank for the BA safety event (such as long term GGLers and Prems, plus the BA FT events) are invited to check this out. Some of them to get stolen, particularly to places like NCE, and I've had 2 missing jackets in the last 10 years or so (1 to NCE, the other to JMK).

Perhaps the novelty factor and a change from the original safety demo video which has been going for years, may explain the perceived initial interest.

Oh and another thing, the video is so international and descriptive that there won't be any subtitles for the different languages.
No subtitles even in English?

Am I crazy in thinking I've seen two versions?

I could have sworn one version has Ian McKellen saying "do you think so? I hope so! ("NEXT!")" when told he'll get the part, and the other has him saying "I usually do"...

Not that I can recall. And I probably would have noticed that. Old School CSD.

Ok, I'm crazy then I was coming off a LIH-LAX-IAD stint for IAD-LHR, so quite possible I imagined it.

That line was in one of the 'teaser' versions that were put online a few weeks back (and posted supra).

While I'm being crazy, am I right that the only underlined subtitles are those about not inflating the life jacket before leaving the aircraft?

From the 1st September.
Introduction
A referral to review the safety card and request that baggage be left behind in an emergency situation has been added to the 10 and 20 Minutes to Landing Announcements for all flights from all bases to achieve compliance with new regulatory requirements. In addition, reference has also been made to alert customers to the change in requirement for window blinds to be returned to the open/clear position for landing.

If you are seated by a window and have lowered the blind please return this to the open position for landing.

Just ... too ... long (6 minutes end to end?)

I guess many of the "celeberaties" won't be recognisable to most customers (I didn't recognise a couple of them!).

I've seen it twice and the novelty is already wearing off.....

I will miss, in no particular order:

The Rabbit
The Janet Jackson look-alike under her blanket
The redhead who bounces vertically on her way back to her seat
The guy with the scary eyes 'paying attention'

This will just 'blank' me, I regret. It's utterly, utterly, awful. It lacks any serious safety communication, cabin realism and is populated by unknown non-entities [aka 'Celebs'].
