Goodbye to all our remaining USA based ground staff

It seems that you do a great job but are too expensive.
The 10 remaining self handling stations are SFO, LAX, ORD, IAH, MIA, IAD, PHL, EWR, JFK and BOS.

That's rather sad, but a continuation of BA's race to the bottom driven by Alex's obsession with enhancing another pound off the headline fare.

Such a shame. Met some great BA staff at these stations and some have been there for years.

Another example of the only focus being the bottom line.

Presumably this means the end of the Lounge staff too; thinking of the Manager at SFO and Barman at IAD?

Does the USA have any equivalent of TUPE?

That's quite a big risk on some major routes. If they start pushing the transatlantic customers away they really will be in trouble.

That would depend on the state. Don't expect much from Texas.

I thought BOS already was most outsourced; certainly I have had some quite stunning lack of help and cluelessness from the staff there, including denying that London City was an airport served by BA. So I thought they had already gone bad.

No ground presence at JFK sounds like a recipe for total disaster when something goes wrong in future. Strange decision if this is true - doesn't this station handle more BA passengers daily than any of the UK ones outside of London?

I have to imagine some BA staff will remain. At least a station manager?

I read it as all our stations going away from BA staff, except for SFO, LAX, ORD, IAH, MIA, IAD, PHL, EWR, JFK and BOS?

Otherwise, would be a disaster indeed!

Thank you

Sad news...big thank you to the BA staff at EWR and JFK, always giving me the impression it's not just an airline and I'm not just a low CIV.

Edit: the other stations I just didn't travel through enough, no differentiation intended.
