I think it's unlikely for an A380 flight to get cancelled, especially as there's only one flight to YVR a day.
Yeah it is - I was expecting similar, with only 1 flight and it being the A380. Hope i'm right!

Can I assume that if a flight tomorrow (27 Jul) hasn't been cancelled then I'm home free, at least with respect to strike-related cancels? I'm speaking of the early LHR-LAX-LHR A380 flight.

I'm noticing a few Lhr-Auh cancellations this week. I'm due to fly this in about 2.5 weeks. If cancelled, what's the normal routine? Would they put me on the DXB flight or might I get moved to EY or EK / QF to Dxb? I'm assuming they keep you on BA?
Flying in F.
Many thanks.

I assume this is the return of BA944 which is listed? If so just to clarify I am just listing the exLHR flights as they are a lot easier for me to check

I would think it extremely unlikely this will be affected tomorrow. It's a premium/flagship route for BA so my hunch is 99% it will be fine.

Yikes for those O'Hare flights - cancelled for the rest of the week. I'm due to fly on LHR - BWI this week and that flight has been cancelled once or twice over the last few weeks. Fingers are crossed, but I'm expecting it'll be cancelled and I'll be rerouted on a flight to IAD or something.

If a flight cancelled and we are rerouted because of the strike to another airline (e.g. AA) do we still get the originally booked TP/Avios?

I would think you would be entitled to ORC, but wouldn't it be likely your new rerouted itinerary would earn either the same or (if now including a connection) more TP/avios anyway?

If they rebook on a direct AA flight, under AA code, the avios awarded are fewer. It happened to me when they cancelled LHR-MIA and I was moved to the AA flight.

The difference for the same selling class between AA and BA is usually due to the lower cabin bonus than BA. For example, for a GCH:

LHR-MIA on BA code
Q, O, G - 5540
K, L, M, N, S, V - 6645
Y, B, H - 8860
E, T - 8860
W - 11075
R, I - 11075
J, C, D - 15505
A - 15505
F - 17720

LHR-MIA on AA code
G, Q, N, O, S - 5530
H, K, M, L, V - 6639
Y - 8850
W - 9293
P - 8850
J, D, I, R - 9956
F, A - 11063

Apart from F where the difference is ~6500 avios I am not sure any of them would really prompt me to go to the effort of an ORC claim for the extra avios.

On the other hand, lots of people would jump up and down for the 10 avios in G

July 30th BA072 AUH is now cancelled.

I got an automatic reroute through within 30 minutes suggesting the 108 out of Dubai. I'm on the phone now to try and push it to the 106 during the night
