Out of curiosity, if BA cancel a flight on my itinerary before travel has started will I have the option of cancelling the entire booking and receiving a full refund at no penalty?

Would be interesting to hear about what people are rebooked on.
I believe at least some passengers were rerouted via PHX (based on bag tags at the baggage reclaim). That said, it could not have been that many passengers as the 289 to PHX only had maybe 10 seats for sale at the time the flight to LAS was canceled.

My guess would be that the options offered would be the days before or after the cancellation or a connection on any of the other BA routes with a short flight on AA to LAS.

Thanks

Have you actual stats to back up this comment (not accusing here), as a regular on this route (thankfully less this summer), my impression has been that LHR>PHL has suffered more then other routes in terms of cancellations during the strikes, but EF is claiming only 2 out of the last 61 flights have been cancelled (which may be on the day stats), hence my query if you have a better source on this routes cancellation stats?
My other half was on last Sunday's BA LHR>PHL flight which was cancelled on Saturday. He was accommodated on the AA service, but mentioned a lot of people in Y around him had been booked in J and F on the BA flight and were not happy to be flying Y as a substitute!

Stats purely come from checking flight each day on the BA067 flight tracker - cancelled Friday/ cancelled today

Well we now know that is 3 in a calendar week (at least!) - not a good show but I guess they feel they can move most people to either AA's two services or EWR/BWI as a sub. Not a great way to maintain a positive relationship with the Philly flying public though.

I believe that BA297/296 was canceled twice during the July 1-16 strike period and BA295/294 was canceled once.

Does anyone know how soon before departure flights are being cancelled if related to the strike action?

I notice there are a couple of long hauls cancelled for Monday, including some domestic, some transatlantic and some middle eastern, and just wondering if that's the lot for tomorrow or if more are added in the morning.

I have a few flights in and out of LHR coming up so just interested in when I should consider it "safe" to assume it probably won't be cancelled.

Expert Flyer is listing two types of cancellation codes for some of todays BA cancellations.
For the flights I saw cancelled a few days ago the code is INDN. However some flights seem to have been cancelled in the last few hours with a cancellation code INDU

Anyone know the difference?

There do seem to be more domestic cancellations this morning at short notice than I remember before. Are there fewer cabin crew showing up than expected and BA are having to cancel at the last minute?

I am due to fly TATL on Friday. I had a domestic connection to LHR booked for Friday morning. I have changed that now to Thursday evening to buy myself more time/ options if my TATL is cancelled at short notice. Really annoying to have to do this, but when there is a necessity to get somewhere by a particular time then I guess one has to play it safe!

Probably at boarding
Joking aside, my so far single experience was a long haul cancellation less than 3hrs before departure (LHR-MIA).
