Do we think this be two years from your current membership year end or two years from today?
I wonder if we'll see a change of tact in Customer Relations approach too in this time i.e. actually caring?

Just received the same. Would be great as I'm at risk of losing Gold in September!
I did get get caught up in it last weekend with a heavily delayed BRU-LHR on the Sunday.
P.s. long time lurker - first post.

it does say 'we’d like to renew your current tier status for a further two years, regardless of how many Tier Points you collect in that time.'
To me that sounds like a 2 year extension from your current expiry date, or else it should have said 'we’d like to renew your current tier status for a further two years from today, regardless of how many Tier Points you collect in that time.
although ofcourse BA PR may have got it wrong

Same here. 2 years.
Nice touch although probably complete overkill.
Does give the impression they're seriously trying to limit damage to the brand (either than or a way of saying "no EU261 for you, but you can have this instead").
It's not going to put me off flying with them any more than BoB etc. has to some people.
